Pacifica doing its share in ending congestion in Los Angeles
Ernie Camacho, President of Pacifica Services, Inc. was elected to the board, and went on to Chair the Board of Directors for the Rail Construction Corporation. As Chairman of the Board, Mr. Camacho was responsible for the management of all design and construction of rail transit projects in Los Angeles County.

Metro Red Line Project
The Metro Red Line, the heavy rail (subway) component of the Metro Rail System, is the spine of Los Angeles rail system. The Red Line is a 22 mile run underground from Union Station through the heart of Hollywood to the San Fernando Valley. The first 4.4 miles between Union Station and Macarthur Park were completed and opened for revenue service on January 30, 1993 – eight months ahead of schedule.
Metro Red Line (Segment 1) – Opened January 1993

Description: Extends 4.4 miles under downtown Los Angeles, connecting Union Station to the Wilshire/Alvarado Intersection
Metro Red Line (Segment 2) – Opened 1995
Project Total: $1,446,432,000
Description: Extends 6.7 miles, connecting the Wilshire section from Alvarado to Western, and the Hollywood section to Hollywood.
Metro Green Line
Project Total: $716,000,000
Description: The Metro Pasadena Line, opened in 1995 and runs between Norwalk and El Segundo along the median of the Glenn Anderson Freeway.
Metro Blue Line/Long Beach – Opened July 1999

Description: The Metro Blue Line, L.A.'s first light rail transit system, runs from 7th Street in Downtown L.A., through the communities of Vernon, Huntington Park, South Gate, Watts, Compton, Carson, finally ending in downtown Long Beach.
Metro Goldine (formerly Blue) Line/Pasadena
Project Total: $689,700,000
Description: The Metro Pasadena Line is a 13.6 mile conventional light rail extending from Union Station to the eastern area of Pasadena.
Metrolink
Metrolink is a commuter rail system that links Orange County with surrounding areas including Los Angeles, Riverside, and San Bernardino Counties.
